The simplest, most flexible roadmapping solution for Jira got a whole lot better! Add ALL issue types, create/edit versions, quick filters and more in the newest releases of Easy Agile Roadmaps for Jira.

We pride Easy Agile Roadmaps as being the simplest, most flexible roadmapping solution for Jira. In keeping with that ethos, we think you should be able to plan your roadmap exactly how you want!

Over the last few weeks we have released 2 major versions of Easy Agile Roadmaps, giving teams more control over how and what they communicate on their roadmap.

In previous versions, we only allowed users to plan Epics on their roadmaps. We believed this high-level visualisation of “the plan” was the best way to communicate the combination of product vision and strategy.

For most things, no team operates in the same way. We learnt quickly that flexibility in what our customers wanted to plan was extremely important. Our customers told us that they wanted to ability to add ALL issue types to their roadmaps.

We want to be able to assign individual stories to the roadmap because not everything we do is large enough to warrant an Epic

Easy Agile Roadmaps for Jira 3.2 — Add ALL Issue Types to your Roadmap

One of the challenges of building a product for customers of all shapes and sizes (10 user Cloud to 10,000 user Server) is providing flexibility while avoiding complexity. It’s one of our core values — creating ‘easy’ to use software.

Knowing the ability to plan only epics was either too much, or not enough for our customers, we needed to create an easy solution, with a seamless upgrade experience.

We’re really proud to say that we were able to achieve this in Easy Agile Roadmaps 3.2.

In this version, we allow users to add ALL issue types (including custom issue types) to their roadmap! Users can select what issue types they want displayed in their ‘Issues Panel’ and drag them onto their roadmap.

Other release highlights include:

  • Create new issues without leaving the roadmap
  • Add optional end dates to date markers/milestones
  • Edit version details on the roadmap

Easy Agile Roadmaps for Jira 3.3 — Version Planning Made Easy!

Off the back of the 3.2 release, we continued to work on ways users could better set and communicate product vision to their team and stakeholders. Our customers have told us that a major part of this process is the way they plan and schedule versions.

In this release we enable users to drag and drop versions to edit their start and release dates. All changes made on the roadmap are automatically reflected in Jira — no need to navigate to and from the Releases page in Jira.

This means our users can spend more time on what’s important to them, and less time toggling between tabs.
